Corée – Bloomberry ouvrira le Jeju Sun Hotel and Casino ce mois-ci

Bloomberry Resorts will re-open its newly refurbished and rebranded casino on Jeju Island in Korea this month, under the new management of Jeju Sun Hotel and Casino.
The venture marks Bloomberry’s first casino investment on foreign soil. The operator bought 92 per cent of Golden and Luxury, who co-owns T.H.E. Hotel and Vegas Casino in the southern island of Jeju.
Bloomberry Chairman and Chief Executive Enrique Razon Jr. said: “We are very excited to introduce Jeju Sun Hotel & Casino starting out with the re-opening of this world-class casino after only less than four months. This is our first operating overseas property, and we exerted much effort to put in place the ambiance and amenities that would enrich the gaming experience.”
September’s reopening is the first phase of the refurbishment plan with the second phase scheduled for December 2015.
The Jeju Sun Hotel and Casino features 208 rooms and suites, and 2,125 square meters of gaming space. It is located on Jeju Island, which has been stamped by UNESCO as a world heritage site.
“The expanded casino facilities will include the refurbishment of the main lobby and new dining options. Moreover, the newly branded Jeju Sun Hotel and Casino will offer energetic entertainment and premium gaming facilities featuring the most popular games like baccarat, roulette, Sic Bo, blackjack and South Korea’s premier selection of the latest electronic games and slot machines that will set a new benchmark for lifestyle and leisure experience,” Bloomberry added.
Luis Limlingan, analyste chez Regina Capital Development Corp à Manille, a déclaré : « Avoir une plus grande présence en dehors des Philippines serait de bon augure pour l'entreprise. Ils peuvent attirer davantage de Coréens, de Chinois et de Japonais.
Jeju Island attracted 2.3m foreign tourists last year, of which 1.8m were from China. Chinese visitors are expected to grow to 5.3m this year. The island has been the focus of much casino activity in recent months.
Genting Hong Kong a récemment ouvert son premier casino sur l'île sud-coréenne de Jeju. Situé à l'hôtel Hyatt Regency Jeju, le nouveau Genting Jeju Casino est une coentreprise entre Genting et Landing International Development, chacune d'elles détenant une participation de 50 % dans l'entreprise. Le casino du Hyatt Regency est l'une des huit licences de jeu de Jeju en vertu de la loi sur la promotion du tourisme. Genting prévoit également d'ouvrir le Resorts World Jeju de 2.2 milliards de dollars, un projet dans lequel elle s'associe également à Landing.
Bloomberry owns and operates the $1.2bn casino-resort Solaire in Manila Bay, in the Philippines.
